Product Manager II - KDS (all genders)
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by đź‘‹
Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Well… you might just be in the right place!
You will be responsible for driving the product strategy and execution for our Kitchen Display System (KDS) - a core component of Lightspeed’s hospitality platform. You’ll lead a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and QA specialists to deliver a product that enables restaurant teams to operate efficiently in one of the most demanding environments: the kitchen.
Your job doesn’t end at shipping features. You’ll ensure adoption by deeply understanding how kitchens work, translating operational realities into product improvements, and closing the feedback loop with customers and internal stakeholders.
You’ll collaborate closely with design, engineering, support, and market teams to define and prioritize initiatives that improve communication between front and back of house, optimize workflows, and make Lightspeed the platform of choice for hospitality venues across EMEA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the roadmap for Lightspeed’s Kitchen Display System in alignment with the overall hospitality product strategy.
- Work closely with design and engineering to translate real-world kitchen workflows into intuitive, reliable, and high-performance software.
- Drive product discovery efforts - including customer interviews, site visits, and data analysis - to understand the daily challenges of chefs, line cooks, and expediters.
- Build business cases and define clear KPIs and success metrics to measure product performance and impact.
- Ensure the rest of the organization understands the value being delivered by the KDS team, through clear communication and internal advocacy.
- Collaborate with other hospitality product teams (POS, Payments, Ordering, etc.) to ensure seamless integration and shared vision across the ecosystem.
- Continuously evaluate feedback from customers, markets, and internal teams to refine priorities and improve usability and stability.
- Manage backlog, define acceptance criteria, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Support feature rollout and adoption through close coordination with Customer Success, Enablement, and Marketing.
About You
You have a strong sense of ownership and curiosity about how technology supports real-world operations. You’re eager to spend time in the field - observing, listening, and understanding how a kitchen truly runs. You can translate that insight into clear direction for design and engineering, balancing customer empathy with technical and business considerations.
You’re a structured thinker who can bring clarity to complex environments, communicate across functions, and keep everyone aligned on what matters most to users.
You’re passionate about hospitality and motivated by creating tools that make life easier for people working under pressure.
We hire curious, daring, and humble people, giving them the freedom to learn and innovate. We’re more interested in what you’ve accomplished since graduating than in your degree.
