We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our team in Manila.
Craft robust systems and beautiful interfaces, write clear, performant, testable and elegant code and be a strong advocate for modern development practices. Collaborate with others in technical discussions, code reviews and architecture reviews.
What you’ll be doing:
You'll have the opportunity to work across multiple areas of our Hospitality platform, including POS, payments, loyalty, and more.
- Building stuff. This includes feature development, bug fixing, performance improvements, code reviews, peer programming, incident response, etc.
- Planning/architecture. You will collaborate with others in the Product team on spec review, architecture and systems design, and implementation.
- Learning and teaching. Contributing to innovation and tech talks, and helping other developers to “level up”.
- Enabling. Working on common services, introducing new tooling or libraries, documenting and evolving best practices for development, etc.
- Contributing. As part of the wider team to achieve organizational objectives even if this means doing things that aren’t strictly within the scope of your role.
What you need to bring:
- Previous experience as a Senior Software Engineer including both successes and failures (“scars”), which help you make better decisions
- Collaborative, test-driven, and agile full-stack development
- Deep experience using PHP, Typescript, and React
- Solid database knowledge (MySQL or Postgres), with ability to write efficient queries and optimise performance
- Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party services
- Experience with AWS, including services such as SQS, Lambda, and Redis
